At first glance, that red lacy dress, large neckline, is all sensuality. But when we get close to it, we see that inwardly it is all thorn, because it is made of pain. It represents all the suffering and humiliation the wife has been through. It is there, hanging. She will never forget the pain, but at the same time it is also something that tells her, all the time, that she has triumphed. It is a trophy, an icon of her pain and her victory. She is at peace.
